Early Education Center Accreditation

Green Apple offers two types of programs for preschools: 1) Religious Exempt Approval for child care programs that are an integral part of a church or parochial school, and 2) Preschool Accreditation for child care programs that are either stand alone preschools, licensed preschools, or religious exempt preschools.
Licensed preschools seeking GAACS accreditation must submit a copy of their most recent child care inspection from the local licensing agency and demonstrate compliance with the GAACS EEC Accreditation Standards. To download a copy of the EEC Accreditation Standards, please visit the Member Forms Section.

Religious Exempt Approval Program
GAACS approves religious exempt programs in 13 states including Florida, Illinois, Georgia, South Carolina, and more.
GAACS has been approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families as a Religious Exempt Accrediting Agency which means a child care program that is an integral part of a church or parochial school may be exempt from state licensure if it complies with and is approved by GAACS to operate as a Religious Exempt Child Care facility. GAACS requires a site visit inspection to demonstrate compliance with its Minimum Health, Safety, and Sanitation Standards prior to approval and the facility must demonstrate continual compliance through periodic unannounced site visit inspections thereafter.
