GAACS was established upon Godly principles of integrity, high ethics in Christian beliefs, accountability, academic excellence, and professional conduct.
It’s founders Freda Stevens (daughter) and Dr. Clementine Sherman (mother) realized a need to restore integrity in the "Christian School System" and organized GAACS as a foundation for establishing sound, biblically based, academically challenging schools in the United States and abroad.
Together with support of educators, pastors, and the community at large the founders established GAACS in 2004.
The headquarters are located in the Southern Florida. GAACS began by accrediting preschools as a recognized Religious Exempt Accrediting Agency through the Florida Department of Children and Families.
As the need for more accountability and higher standards emerged, GAACS opened the Office of Academic Affairs which oversees the accreditation process of k-12 schools, online schools, supplemental care programs (formerly afterschool), and other educational systems.
